Dynamics of cardiovascular and respiratory system
Převorovská, Světlana ; Maršík, František ; Musil, Jan
The human cardiovascular and respiratory system is numerically modelled by twenty four segments. Respiratory processes are considered at the level of the pulmonary, tissue and brain segment. The interaction between both systems is modelled by the baroreflex and chemoreflex regulation of the blood pressure and pulmonary minute ventilation.
Viscoelastic properties of arteries - KorotkoffĽ sound generation
Maršík, František ; Převorovská, Světlana ; Štembera, V.
The theoretical analysis, experimental study and numerical solving of the blood flow through the elastic tubes is very important issue for the noninvasive estimate of the elasticity of blood vessels. The main aim is to find the relation between the mechanical properties of blood and the blood vessel's wall with a frequency and Korotkoff's sounds.
Analysis of the measured production inaccuracies of the contact areas of the hip joint endoprosthesis parts
Fuis, Vladimír
In one hospital of the Czech Republic, more than 1 % of applied endoprostheses had to be reoperated. That is why the state of stress and the reliability of ceramic heads of total endoprosthesis is being intensively analysed by means of computational modelling. The production inaccuracies of the cone contact joint of the head and the stem is measured on the 3D device. Measured values are input to the computational modelling of the head stress analysis.
The role of transverse-axial tubular system in ventricular cardiac cell arrhythmogenesis: A simulation study
Pásek, Michal ; Christé, G. ; Šimurda, J.
A mathematical model of electrical activity of ventricular cardiac cell including a quantitative description of the transverse-axial tubular system (TAT-system) function is presented. The results of model simulations indicated that the TAT-system can play a role in arrhythmogenesis. Under different conditions the effect can be adverse or protective against initiations of ectopic arrhythmias.
Analysis of the stress and reability of the ceramic head under oblique load
Fuis, Vladimír
The problem of the stress states in the ceramic head of hip joint endoprosthesis under the oblique loading and it's reliability is very important today, because there had occurred the destruction of the ceramic head among a non-negligible number of patients.
